Begonia nothobaramensis is a Borneo species under section Petermannia. It is an iridescent species, albeit its iridescence can only be seen on-camera with flash. It has peltate asymmetrical leaves that have subtle white edges. It grows readily in terrariums but it is prone to having its leaf tips “melt” even in terrarium conditions, meaning it can be difficult to grow a pristine specimen of this plant that is free of leaf damages.

B. nothobaramensis roots and grows well in a 1:1 mix of sphagnum moss and perlite. Its root systems are large and spread rapidly. |
