TL:DR

Begonia chlorosticta is a shrub-like species from Malaysia where it is typically found on ocky slopes and damp cliffs in lowland forests. It has elliptical leaves with a toothed margins in burgundy-red to dark-green with light-chartreuse-green spots and margins. Has a shrubby growth habit and needs higher humidity (>60%) and temperatures (7-30C).

This species was previously known as B. chlorosticta “Dark” but the green form has since been assigned a U number so this is now just B. chlorosticta.

Description

Description Elliptical leaves with a toothed margins are burgundy-red to dark-green with light-chartreuse-green spots and margins. The main veins are red. Has a shrubby growth habit.
